My name is Melissa Moore, I am 29 years old. Like many others out there I have struggled with weight loss from time to time. I grew up very active and involved in sports. Weight was always just a number, nothing that ever concerned me until the last few years. I have been pregnant 2 times in the last 3 years and with the pregnancies, came a total of 70 pounds each time. Of course in the 3 months after having each of my sons I lost about 30-40 pounds of that 70 pounds (each pregnancy). Now, I am at a plateau, steadily weighing in around 200 pounds. Which for me is about 50 lbs overweight. Again, I am not someone that fixates on numbers, I just love feeling healthy and looking healthy. That is my goal with this blog to learn, teach and lose. I want to share my journey with anyone willing to listen and in return lose the unwanted pounds and gain back the confident and healthy feeling. I set a goal for myself, I am on the path to losing 30 pounds before my 30th birthday, November 28th, 2013 to be exact. In the next few months, I intend to get in shape, gain more knowledge when it comes to nutrition and really just get back what I have let go in the last 2 years.
I am married to my husband Brady and we have our two amazing sons Alexander and Collin. I come from a very fun fami
ly, we are extremely close and all of my siblings are pretty active as well. My brother is a personal trainer and has his own fitness and wellness company (Omega Lifestyle Health and Fitness, Wichita Falls, TX). He is great at what he does and his new found love for fitness and just flat out being a beast :), has motivated me to get serious about getting back a healthy lifestyle. Not only is this for me, but for my family. I want my sons and my husband to know what it is to be healthy and how to take care of their bodies.
